My eyes were drawn to Toi Express at the 14.30 at Newton A this afternoon. A weakish selling hurdle and at 2.4 I tended to think the horse was too short. This was also vindicated by being the first Bismarck of the day, so that was a clear lay for me. Toi Express finished third.
Air guitar at the ready I was keen to support Deep Purple at the 15.30 at NA, but at an appalling 1/2 on before the off I left the trade alone and took a Betfair place position instead on 2nd fave Pidgeon Island who dutifully came in in second position. Three succesful Bismarx today out of five was an average day but it was nice to be done and dusted by mid afternoon.
Haven't even had time to check that FTSE100 trade (watch it have gone down the kermit!!) but I'll do that right now . Southern Fried chicken tonight (why am I starting to sound like Alan Partridge?)... back of the net!
